Literary Focus - Question 7 - Stop The Sun

I think he made the right decision. The reasons are his father didn't tell Terry what happened, so he felt embarrassed and didn't understand how his father felt.I think the father should tell him, because when you talk to someone, it feels better. But Terry also should try to understand him and help him try to forget them. It is also better to know more. Terry didn't know much about Vietnam. After he knows about the war, it wasn't just Vietnam syndrome. It was the war from North and South of Vietnam, French and American. He can understand his father's stress and fear more. After his father told him the experiences, his father still has flashbacks, so Terry can help him by cheering him up. Then he can forget them slowly.
